So I recently bought the new Prime Circle album, Jekyll and Hyde. it is rather disappointing for me.
They are still very good and the album is incredibly well produced but they are still doing the same thing. Of teh album there are 2 songs that hit me so far, Never gonna let us Down and breathing.
but....
I found the Graeme Watkins Project on Nokia Ovi Music and got the album for R40 (hectic cheap IYAM)
man, what a band! not too technical or over stressed but such easy music to listen to. Graeme has a cool voice and the songs are great.
What new music have you got recently?

I saw them at one of Andy McGibbon's shows and they were tight, their approach was original and I was generally bowled over. They describe themselves as "folktronica" and the CD is rather more tronic than the live set was. They're worth keeping an eye open for.
Bands repeating themselves is nothing new and not confined to SA. I think it's a trap waiting to be fallen into. You do 1 or 2 albums that are well received. Now you get an itch to update your sound a little. Do you do that an take the risk of alienating the audience (and the cash) that you've just earned or do you march onwards?
