The Vox Night Train is also an awesome 15 Watter but you'll need a cab.
Otherwise you could look at some of the boutique amps overseas and have one shipped here.. but that will probably take you a little bit over budget.
That guy is talking bull. Those amps retail at 7.5k (tag price). When you start asking for discount you will find a price much closer to R 5500-6000. The Ac15's are really cool. esp the new ones with the Greenback in it. build quality isnt spectacular (chickenhead knobs feel very plasticy) but they are def built to withstand some abuse. In my opinion in that price range:
New: Fender Hot rod.(really cant go wrong with this one.)
Used: Vox Ac30, Fender Deluxe Reverb RI(although rare second hand), And maybe a good quality well looked after Twin reverb or Bassman.
