New Gear Friday for Mika!!!

I had my first new gear day in the USA.... so you should all be checking this out saturday morning.

New additions:
BB Preamp: super nice overdrive, I like it because its pretty natural sounding when used with a overdriven amp.

Fender Jaguar: Super nice guitar, I played it and another 15 or so Fenders and chose this one, it just felt right.... sounds very strat like to me.... Matching headstock, hardcase, and all in all really nice.

Jet City 20H head and cab: This is a GREAT AMP, loud and mean, or super quiet. A cross between a AC30/20 and a marshall. Next to my Dr Z this is amazing... and loud. I am going to get a A/B/Y Switch tommorow so I will have a great setup with these amps. Both are pretty low wattage but I dont care for fender cleans... For the price the Jet City is amazing, it matches up to my boutique Dr Z in every way. If they come to SA... I Highly Recommend.

Now I can take this all to band practice this weekend and sound huge.
As a matter of coolness at the rehearsal space the other day I noticed other bands using the space are, Torche, Kylesa, Cannibal Corpse (weird), Underoath...... All very heavy but intresting for some of you metal heads.

That Jet City amp is probably one of the best sounding amps... not just for the money....
It definatly could do with better tubes at the get go.... but once thats done WOW.
Like mentioned ... not a clean amp at all. But thats my thing these days.

And the jag, cut me back.... about $500. Which is not alot considering how much I like it and I would have paid for it. I bought it off a collector with about 132 guitars, about 100 fenders, about 500 pedals, and about 30 amplifiers. The crazy thing is he does not play guitar ? ??? He just collects andtakes pictures.

I'm no metal head, but that is interesting. Strangely, Jim Carrey is apparently a huge Cannibal Corpse fan...

My previous drummer, a metal head, laid that bit of trivia on me, and here's the proof.

I got myself the BB Custom shop, the RC and the EP.. those 3, are just the be and end all of drives for me...
The AC is calling me just to complete the collection, never heard one tho..

Try an EP booster... its like a little tone god, with the weight of a sledge hammer, its heavy for a little thing... waaay cool
