Hi folks.
I have posted two songs before, where I ranted about how I am self-taught, a noobie, trying to find my place in the vast and complex world that forms music.
Again, I humbly ask you all for some opinions, criticism, advice or even a rudimentary remarks/comments. I have taken the things former contributors have stated into consideration and with each song I try harder to better my work. But my creations, as it currently is, is still VERY, HIGHLY, oh-so-much experimental until I find something or a style that I feel resonates with my creational being.
Meaning, I really need someone to listen to it and give some feedback.
ANY CONTRIBUTIONS WILL SINCERELY BE APPRECIATED.
The first song is quite alternative-electronic-rock-ish. It was an experiment on an experiment, in specific reference to what I tried with my voice. I find it rather annoying, if you concur, let me know. Note: I...cannot...sing. At all.
The second song is purely strings with a dash of piano. I was exhausted listening my stuff, as I feel it sounds monotonous, so I endeavored something completely different. In a way this song is quite nice to listen to with your eyes closed, as so your imagination can paint whatever the song makes you feel. However the track itself is fairly short, as I did not want to spoil it with repetition OR break the emotion with a incongruous bridge. But in the end I still find it stale. Let me know what you all think.
I do hope you enjoy the tracks. ? So without further ado...
**Apologies for posting in wrong section**

very cool, well done. Firstly you are developing a style that is recognisable (i.e. you can tell both songs were written by the same person).
On "Happy to be lost" I think the falsetto voice actually suits the song, but perhaps you want to add something in your normal voice(an octave lower), sort of interweaving with the falsetto just so you can prevent it from getting monotonous, somewhere towards the middle of the tune. I also like your guitar tone. Nice overall mix too. :yup:
On "My only", I can picture this track being used in some movie scene. Great depth. Maybe some acoustic guitar would fit?
overall, great job :applause: :yup:

Thanks man. I was really sceptic about using, as you aptly labeled it, the falsetto vocals but like I said I experiment quite a lot these days. Thing is I just cannot carry a tune when I try and sing, shall I say, 'normally', so I try various aspects regarding my voice to see which gives me the best result. Also, I do agree that the song needed something more (like another voice).
And yes. Out of so many styles of music I tried, I might have found the style that I feel suits what I wish to convey. But I do like to do some quaint stuff in between everything, as I am very fond of experimenting. Like the 'My Only' piece for example. ?
Thanks for the comment, appreciate it.
