Time to reveal goings-on with the Aria 5102T rebuild/zoot

Well, a coupley months back, I was brought this old early-70's Aria 335 copy. I t was sad . . . very sad. It had been the guy's (late some while) uncle's axe. He had managed to dig it up, and REALLY wanted it fixed-up (although everyone told him to buy a new guitar!). Big issues: body separation, neck-pocket displacement, top warped away from neck pocket, general warping, neglect, sun, water, rats, spiders, etc. Once I found the neck was cool, and my wood-prof told me we could re-shape some wood, . . . I was off . . . . . . . . Check some pics: Just some of the before pics, . . . what a hectic journey and learning-curve ? Many more pics and details to come . . . :-[

At last . . . .. the sound-clip I mentioned . . .. ?

The guitar was recorded straight thru my G2 zoom (with only delay/reverb on the clean sound), into my PC using Cool Edit Pro software.
I used a variety of pickup switch selections, thruout . .

Thank you all for kind words, inspiration, comments, thoughts, feelings, . . . and just for joining me on this journey into the deeep ?

It is sad that it is complete, but it is also a great personal achievement for me, having tackled obstacles that nearly had me weeping, but were nonetheless overcome.

I've also made a bunch of new friends, and contacts through this build and thread, for which I am grateful.

Also, A BIG Thanks go to GFSA for granting us this platform to share our experiences.

Hey Dave.
Like any good book, it leaves an empty feeling when it's over. :'(
Glad however that it was "mission accomplished", it's horrifying when something goes drastically wrong as things sometimes do.
Way to go on your achievement mate, now I'm sure there are others from here that want to send their old guitars your way. ?
