IceCreamMan
Favourite tune/album/vocalist
Mine : Aint talking about Love off the first album. (ICe Cream Man too)
Album : VH 1 - Gene Simmons produced this and this was the quintessential good time band album i reckon.
You know previously Clapton was refereed to as god , they were wrong DLR is .

Tune: Ice Cream Man
Album: VH1
Vocalist: DLR
Hagar had pipes, but DLR had attitude.
Audience participation should extend from onstage to offstage to under the stage - David Lee Roth

Tune: Why can't this be love
Album : 5150
Vocalist : Sammy Hagar
DLR definitely had attitude!

... Must be 'Eruption' for the story behind it. It is not a song as such, just a warm up thing Eddy used before shows. The band apparently thought it too good not to be played, but Alex kept on telling his brother to play it with his back to the audience to prevent someone from stealing his techniques. Months later two handed tapping was as much part of the scene as long pink hair and tights.

Poundcake from "For Unlawfull Carnal Knowledge" for me thanks ?
Although I prefer Roth for attitude and his crazy ass rock n roll-ness.
Love the Balance album too. Some wicked tunes there aswell!!!
Jack-Flash-Jr
VH1 for sure... as killer a debut as Appetite for Destruction...
Running With The Devil for the win! (not to mention that little Ray Davies cover)
Not a Hagar fan and let's not mention Gary Cherone... ?

In retrospection, this is such a hard choice...there's way too many VH tunes i dig.
In no particular order:
With DLR : Jump, Panama, Hot for teacher (It's obvious that 1984 is my favourite DLR album), Ain't talkin 'bout love, Cathedral, Mean Street, Women in love
With SH : Why can't this be love, Best of both worlds, Finish what ya started, Right now, Poundcake, Can't stop loving you (5150, OU812, For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge, Balance...all good albums).
DLR definitely had the swagger, but Sammy has better pipes and was more consistent IMO.

Humans Being..... absolutely love that solo's intro... and the rest of it too. No fancy tapping, no ridiculous things happening, no flashiness... just freakin awesome feel and sound. This song tops my selection of VH
EVH is one of my top heroes... his vibrato and his overall feel is so eluding for me to grasp, I just love it so so much. Kinda like Hendrix just does it for me too... but that can be for another thread...
All hail the king!!!

I've really tried to narrow it down to one each, but this is the best I can do: :-[
