Morley vs Crybaby, what are your guys opinions. I can bring over some morleys quite cheaply.

i have a limited knowledge admittedly but from what i know the moreley is in essence the Vox which is in essence the crybaby.

so they pretty much the same thing .....if yo ucould get it in cheap then why not ....bear in mind the vox runs at about 750 new.

The Morley's aren't popular for a number of reasons. Most people are happy with one of the Dunlop or Vox Wahs, but it's a very personal choice. I'm eyeing the Area 51 Wahs myself. The Real McCoy customs are also popular among the tonehounds and there are a wide range to choose from.

Yeah the Morleys also occupy a big chunk of real estate (The ones I've seen for that matter!)

Well i my Cry Baby was delivered this morning and i cannot wait to use it. As far as i am concerned, it is the original so why go for anything else?

I've never played a morley but my 'Original Crybaby' is the last wah i'll ever need!! (i hope) between the ibnz weeping demon, vox wah and fender fuzz wah the crybaby comes out on top!! Might want to replace it with a Crybaby rackmount but that wil be in 10 years or so ? but even though i worship the crybaby the morley has always seemed very attractive!! If the morley is the only one in your budget and you know you will like it go for it!! If you can afford both then ignore the price, go to your local shop and jam on both and a few extras aswel? Try al the models from al the wel known brand names.. And post your decision on this page!!

Although I see what you mean about the Cry Baby being the first, it is what they called it, but it is not the same as the JD Cry Babies you get today. The First was a Thomas Organ Cry Baby.

They just sound so similar! IMO the Vox just has a wider wah parameter!

Well i added my Wah to my board last night and i love it!!!!!

It really works so so well, granted I haven't had much experience with the Vox and Morley pedals but i love the response of the Cry Baby.

Really, really happy with it.

I will post some pics of my board on the forum soon

Just want to add another pedal into the mix. Anyone ever played the colorsound inductorless wah. Totally different circuit. Seems a lot more subtle, and a little more smoother. Keen to try build one.
