Ok i've edited mine to be more in line with that chart ?
UncleGoatLips
That list is ok but quite a few WTF's. Like in the "Prog" genre they have fates warning's perfect symmetry but not Queensryche, Operation: Mindcrime which blows it out of the water but cool albums none the less, just not always what I would have there, some of them are just given also eg. Euro Thrash "Sodom, Agent orange" the epitome of German thrash.
Jack-Flash-Jr
The chart's for noobs or people looking to discover new bands s'pose. Google /mu for a bunch more in other genres too...
UncleGoatLips
Ya I get that, it's just not always the albums I would have chosen but pretty good list nonetheless ?

Checked the essential metal chart out..."Folk Metal"? Now there is a new genre I'd never dreamed of...lol

I'm really surprised to see Amorphis's Elegy up here so often, I must move in the wrong circles because while I know the album backward most of my friends wouldn't know it at all.
TapeHissandSparkle
It's the 2 versions of My Kantele that makes that album for me. awsm!
Averatu
I only like the Amorphis albums with Tomi Joutsen on vocals, damned he can sing.
