EB regular slinky

I use Dean Markley Blue Steel .10 Gauge on all of my guitars.
I have a Neil Zaza signature Cort that I found they just hold in tune better on and I feel they have a far better harmonics than most strings so when combined with an Ebony fretboard and a 16mm Quilted Maple cap you get some of the most serious harmonic overtones I've ever heard. Also I've found that they are higher tension than any other brand I've used (Elixir, Ernie Ball, Daddario, Fender etc.) which I prefer for my playing style (Prog/shred) because the higher tension means you get less chance of fret buzz when having an excessively low action.
Also I have 2 Ibanez RGs and originally I was using Dean Markley Blue Steel .09-.46 on them but I've found even on the longer scale length and Floyd Rose style bridges (which add more tension to the feeling of your string) that they weren't taught enough for me.
My only problem at the moment is that I can't get the .10 gauge in Seven string packs so I'm being forced to use an Ernie Ball for that.
I also find that one set of Dean Markley Blue Steels can last me up to three months of home practicing (about 4-6 hours a day) and about one month gigging. Which I think is impressive because initially I was using Daddario and found the longest I could get a pack to last was 2 weeks owing to a very high Alkaline content in my sweat.
In the interests of being objective I have heard alot of people complain that they don't intonate too well, I however have never experienced this problem (maybe my ears just suck, but I doubt it seeing as I set mine on a BOSS TU-12H which is a fairly good tuner).
Personally I believe it's an individuals preference and these are just the reasons behind my preferences.

Epi - Ernie Ball Skinny Top Heavy bottom 10 -52
ESP - ZW Boomers 10 - 60
RG - Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinky 9 - 46
MMM1 - "???" 14 - 74 I think

GHS Boomers. Blue pack on my drop c guitar. And Ernie ball pink pack on my drop d guitar. The boomers is not that much thicker but still give a heavier sound and does not give any problems in detuning.

I have always been a fan of Erni Ball strings especially the super slinky. The greatest thing about Ernie Ball is that you can buy single replacement strings. So I decide to try out the new "Titanium Reinforced Technology" Erni Ball strings in their homogeneously sealed foiline pack at just a tad under R200 a set. OK I'm cool with that, they claim to last 3 times longer than the regular strings so 3 times 6 weeks is 18 weeks so I should be smiling. Put the new strings on and I really can't tell the difference, only time will tell. Skip ahead 6 weeks - ah shucks the G string just snapped, cant get a single in TRT, only sets. Put on a regular Erni Ball .16 G, but hey the G sounds like 5 times brighter than the rest. Moral of the story TRT's are a rip off >☹

I'm not overly impressed either. I didn't break any (I rarely break any strings), but I find the unwounds feel uneven and rough in comparison with other coated strings like Elixir (you can actually see the coating is rough). They also have the same problem all coated strings do - you aren't earthed when you touch them (the earthing helps keep any hum at bay).

Damn and I have spent the last few weeks checking all my connections because of intermittent hum in my recordings. Yeah the rest of these devils come off tonight.

With all this talk about strings and have not changed mine for a while I decided to get some new strings. Went to Bothners looking for some EB Power Slinky's, they didn't have but the guy there kindly offered me a set of Titanium strings for the same price as regular EB's. Couldn't say no to that so bought a set of Titanium Regular Slinky's. Got home and eagerly took my old strings off, gave my guitar a good clean while there were no strings on. Put the new strings on, was tuning them up...... *twang* .... high E string snaps !!!! >☹ So go grovelling for my old high E to put that back on ☹
One thing I noticed straight away with the Titanium strings, besides the 1 snapping, is that they seem to keep their tuning a lot better than standard EB's, and I gave them a fairly rough go last night with some metal style double picking etc...

After my recent shenanigans with my tuning woes with D'Addario XLS strings. Changed to EB Slinky's and am very happy with the tuning stability and tone..... ? ?

I had to pay full price R180 IIRC for the same displeasure They wanted R250 for the EB Acoustic strings but I managed to get them for R200. Shame on you Bothners >☹
