Coloured Pickup Covers?

VellaJ

Is it possible to buy these separately? In the near future I'l be swapping out my current pups in my Epiphone for some Fender Vintage '69 re-issues, and I want to use the Epi pups in a guitar I'm building.

My issue: I want black pups, while the Epi ones are white. So, it is possible to get hold of covers on their own? Don't really feel like buying new pickups just for their colour ?

I know eBay has plenty on offer - I've also been tempted - I want the EMG look without swapping the pups

Thanks Giggsy. Yeah I see quite a few interesting ones available on eBay. My issue is (and I know eBay is "secure", etc...) credit card fraud. I don't like the card details being on the 'net, my mom had major fraud on her card last year.

So I'll see if there's anything in the shops, otherwise eBay it is ?

Any of the decent music stores in your area should stock either Mighty Mite, and/or Fender kits. Just be sure to measure your pole spacing first, as MMite pup covers have the smaller spacing only and fit most copies, and squiers, while the Fenders fit the USA and Mex strats, and some squiers too.

Just measure from the outside of one end-pole to the outside of the other (on all your pups, as some even have a different pole-spaced one one at the bridge), and then make a coupley phone calls to your nearest stores.

(The Fender pup covers - I've only managed to buy the whole kit which includes the covers, knobs, switch-tip, trem-arm tip and back-plate, which is great when doing a full makeover; but a schlepp when wanting only pup cvrs. The Mighty Mites - sell in sets of 3 cvrs.)

Colour varieties are: White, Black, Parchment (aged/ivory).

If you want I can buy them for you - I do all my eBay purchases with PayPal and never had a problem.

Thanks slyd, I'll contact a couple of the bigger stores, the smaller ones i usually frequent don't really have any need to keep stuff like this. Noted on the pole spacing ?

Wow, now there's an offer I don't get every day ? Thanks man, I appreciate that. If I can't get the stuff here, I may take you up on that ?

Remember . . . . don't buy anything until you have the pole-spacing measurements agreed upon 8)

No problem - I really dont mind buying on people's behalf - have had one or two things go missing in the past, but that's less than 1% of the stuff that I've bought, so if you're happy with those odds...

Now . . . that's nice: . . . . .friendly helpful guys ?
