Give Cliffie o'Leary a shout for Neville Green, Cliffs' older boet Mike played for them, along with Steve Acutt, back in the day when The Blue Moon was still up and running. I think that Paddy Gibbon was their vocalist as well.

Hi, I just joined, now living in Australia (see Introductions thread). I remember Neville Green from Cape Town, played with Keith Lentin and Anton Fig on Bryan Miller's Destruction record. Bryan's older brother Selwyn was my agent/manager for years.
Paddy Gibbons and Steve Acutt (Paddy Foote Blues Band) used to rehearse just down the road from me. Steve basically introduced me to the blues, taught me some licks that I still play, and helped me buy my first decent rig, a 1961 Les Paul/SG custom and a Top Boost Vox AC 30.
Paddy, my mate Terry and I used to spend entire weekends in Paddy's blue VW Beetle, clubbing, jamming, drinking, smoking tons of zol, and evading the cops. Still remember pulling up next a white Rolls-Royce at a traffic light in Sea Point after about 48 hours of madness in the VeeDub. Paddy smiled sweetly at the driver, then hawked up a massive greenie and spat it on the Rolls' door.
Good Times!!
