Been through a month and a half of hell, both at work and home. I unexpectedly got burdened by a work project for which I was unprepared, undertrained and way out of my depth. And everything snowballed a bit on me. 14 - 18h workdays, everyday and we still nearly didn't make it in time for the Big Boss' visit this morning.... My sister was also diagnosed with breast cancer, and my mother took it bad, really bad. Luckilly for me my baabie got up every night when I came home (mostly past 12), drew me a bath while we caught up a bit and supported me all the way. I will be going home in a few hours time, but will stop by the florist before I do. She deserves more I know, but there is still a hopefully long enough lifetime left for me to show her how much I love her. I think I might start by writing her a proper lovesong....

You're gonna be ok Chris. These things are sent to "try" us, and how we come out of it depends on what we're made of ...... God bless.
There is nothing like a good woman!!! I know! Get the flowers, and write that song!

Despite what the hat0rz think, love songs are great. They're especially great when you write them for that special person in your life. I wrote one for my girlfriend about two years ago, with no guitar in it and very cheezy drums and bass lines, superbly dodgy vocals (with some nasty effects) and she still loves it to this day. ? One day, I'll re-record it for her with my much-improved music production / instrument skills, but that's mostly because I have a problem with it, not her. ?

Good Stuff Chris
And I'll bet it will be a great song.
I also wrote one for my wife when she was at varsity, and I always remember finding her in the library, hence "Library Girl". Must pull it out and fix it up.

I started writing a love song/poem a while back for my girlfriend. Never really finished though. So one day my GF is trolling my pc and comes across the text doc and reads it. "oh what's this?" she says.
*ZOMFG ??? is what i think... it's not done yet. damn.
She finishes reading, turn to me and says ' I really hope this isn't about me. Otherwise I'd be really insulted.' >☹
ZOMFG! ???
'nonono... its just an idea I was working on. Nothing to do with you...' ☹
At least I thought it was a good idea. Maybe I should rephrase some parts.

...it was called 'unspoken feeling'. I thought it was romantic.,,

Stories like this one make me realise what a wonderful place the world can be and how strong and amazing love is, thanks for this Chris! God has truely blessed you to have a wife like that ?

Go ahead and start writing. I wrote a song for my wife a few years back and put the words on an American site, and lo and behold, an English guy living in Portugal liked it so much that he recorded it and sent it to me. Another plus was the fact that inspiration is still coming and to date i have written 631 songs. So - hit the pen and paper or keys and enjoy what you have, it is something really special. :? :? :? :?

Howzit Chris, good to hear that things aren't *too* bad. I was sure that something was amiss. I have to say reading that gave me a funny feeling :'( . Your wife sounds very special.. Lucky ? I've been earthed so to speak. Thanks.
Strength.

The missus came into my life completely from the offsides. She was also not at all what I was looking for, being divorced, 5 years my senior and with two loinfruit.
But she was exactly what I needed. She is a tower of strength to me, understands and accepts my eccentricities and absent-mindedness, and shows her love for me in a million different ways every single day.
Whereas before I always used to date 'poppies' and was always the dominant half of the equation, I've met my intellectual match in her and it's been a revelation.
I love you, Elize. You're my world.

I too have a good woman, as do the the rest of the lads in the band... BUT be careful writing a song! One of our songs I wrote (not woman related), Renesongs added some lyrics to wrap the song better... now my wife thinks I wrote "in my bed, an evil woman waits for me" ?
