Strat Blender Wiring

Hi,

Looking for some advice on wiring.

I am planning on redoing the wiring and pots on my strat and I want to try the the neck/bridge blend wiring with a no-load pot.

I've found two separate wiring diagrams online. For the first one the blend is only active when the pickup selector is on the bridge position. The second it is on in bridge and neck position.

I'm only really after the blending in the bridge position is there any reason the rather use the second wiring schematic? I would appreciate any and all help.

They both give you the extra two sounds, but the first wiring is better as it does not mess with your position 3 sound (middle pickup alone).
