I'm siding with Singemonkery here. In fact I'm going further - it was Clapton who really ruled on the wah pedal. The two tracks that Singe cites are strong evidence.
I thought that Zappa was pretty handy with the wah as well. One interesting he would do is to just set the wah in a certain position and leave it there rather than rock the pedal to and fro. This amounted to using the Wah to put a big spike in the EQ and gave him that great "honk" tone in some of his solos.
