Hey all,
Just about to finish school and am really keen to get into the music business and one day start up a studio
Wondering where the best places would be to prepare for that kind of career(interning or studying?) or is it really just who you know and a bit of luck?

Any suggestions are much appriciated ?

That's pretty much it. As one who squandered a small fortune at a Cape Town audio college only find that these guys don't their f-hole from their a-hole. I have learned more about music, sound engineering and production on this and other online forums than anywhere else

interesting..that seems to be the general consensus, that audio colledges are a general waste of time. Does one then just try to rack up as much experience as possible rather than waste time in a music business course?

Sadly there is no music business to study. A general study of business and marketing would serve you better, just apply your case studies to music. My conclusion has been that its a great hobby.
