Anyone buying gear from the states?

Manfred-Klose

Just wondering cause i saw this add for a guy in cape town that imports gear from the USA every 8 weeks
Has anyone ever made use of him, or imported gear?
He claims to be cheaper, so i sent him a email for a quote, just waiting on the reply.

Here is the add:

I've also been wondering about that ad...let us know if it sounds good.

Haven't heard of anyone use him, but what is his BACKUP going to be like (say you order a Gibson LP and 3 months down the line the truss rod snaps - who's going to fix it here under warrantee ?
Does he have a workshop/repair dept ?

I'll ask him some of those qeustions.

From his ads, he just facilitates getting it here. I'm guessing, but you probably order and get it sent to a US address. When they have enough for a shipment, they fill a container and send it all over in one go. Or it's taking a ride on "extra space" in containers that are already coming here. I'd check delivery times.
