Today was a very special day for me.....

1. The Stormers won in Aussie ?

2. I bought this beauty today from a fellow GFSA'er.....a '67 Blackface Fender Bandmaster. Great tone with P90's and Humbuckers alike....and now I have a cab to pair with my other "once-cabless" '64 Bandmaster ... Thanks Matta for a super nice amp.

AND to top it all

3. My son won the Sunshine Tour Vodacom Golf tournament in Pretoria...... Congrats Jean ! :goodtimes:

Wonderful! I know Matt did a lot to restore the workings of that amp to BF quality and spec - it's tempted me more than once... Are you going to decide between heads, or keep one as a "spare"? ?

Yes, Matt's amp is in superb condition and I have been drooling over it for some time now.....both heads sound fantastic with the speaker cab...will be difficult to choose between the two. However I may sell one at a later stage.

Congrats Vic. I know what effort went into that amp to restore it. You got yourself a great deal. It sounds killer. Never thought Matt would ever want to part with it. By the way If you want, I have a piece of grille cloth the same color as the Matts amp that I took of mine in my recon, still in fairly good nick (1 tiny hole I recall). You are welcome to it if you want it.

BTW...I have yet to determine the "break-up point" of these 2 heads...they're LOUD as hell (in a nice way) and both are crystal clear and clean at 4...I'm scared if I go any higher I'll have to get the plumber in ?

.....also very impressed with the sound and clarity of the Jensen replacement speakers....

Thanks Singe....glad you're slacking off here sometimes...maybe less than previously (studies hey ?)....you're the reason we now know a LOT more about MIJ guitars.... ?
