shit son. Come to Cape Town!!! ???
That was probably the best cover of QOTSA that ive heard. Do I hear a tribute band forming? ?

It is a pretty tight go at QOTSA... hardest thing to pull off, which I dont think many or any can do is get the QOTSA guitar, bass and drumm sound. But especially the guitar sound.
Seeing as Josh Homme kept it quite a secret for awhile.... But I think to get that tone, you need a cranked Tweed bassman, or marshal ish amp. As well as hollowbody guitars, and fuzz. I think josh had a fulltone 69 fuzz at this stage. Its the combination of a FAT guitar, with a CRANKED tube amp in the same vein of fender, vox, Silvertone, Tiesco, Sunn. Josh does love recording with Sunn amps, but I cant be certain thats what he had here. Oh yeh and the fuzz just puts it more in your face....
I also read he puts a boost inbetween his amp head and cabs.
I did not see what gear you were runnng there but it sounded quite high gain........

Hey, not a tribute band eh. ?
The bassist I worked with does these collabs a lot, so maybe there might be a few more collab vids being put up? ?
Subscribe to my channel and you'll know. ?
And yeah, I have a Marshall amp but I have an Ibanez solid body guitar with a floating bridge, so I couldn't really replicate Josh's sound identically, but I tried my best. ?
Thanks for the kind words and criticism!
