Blend pot for pickups instead of switch ?

something i've been thinking about.
getting ready to decide about the pots in my guitar and what i want to do with it.

Does anyone use (or have used) a blend pot to choose between the 2 pickups ?, in this case it would be humbuckers

I've done it. Didn't last long as it's a slow and imprecise way to switch pickups. Also very difficult to get log/antilog pots with the right taper for guitar (regardless of what the seller claims).

I've had a humbucker wired to allow the volume to be set on one of the coils (instead of a push-pull to do the coil tap). Total waste of time IMO, I either have it fully off or fully on. Partially on vs fully on makes little difference.

I'd recommend against it. Pain in the ass to swap between bridge and neck. I've always wanted to try and use a stew mac blend for the middle position though.
