Loops Pedal

Hey Everyone,

I want to buy a loop pedal cause I´m the only guitarist in the band and I want to throw different layers just by myself.

I was looking at the Line 6 DL4 Delay Modeler pedal and loop Sampler but the loops are only 14 seconds.

Anyone have any recommendations?

Are there any pedals where you can record different loops and throw the whenever you want?

The standards are the boss RC series they have a few different types depending on your needs, and the digitech jamman.
Have a look at those. ?

Yea the DL4 wont do you any good. I have the DD-20 which also have a 24 second loop function, but its useless. One has to keep in mind, a delay pedal is a delay pedal. Mind you, just out of interest, the guitarist from Minus the Bear does some COOOOL things with his DL4's (yes he has more than one).

Other than that, Im a big Digitech Jamman fan. So I would say go for that, or else its other feeble competitors include the Boss RC-2 and RC-3

It's really an extra add-on on the DL4 which really is intended for delay type effects. You'd do better

You can do that on the Boss RC series and IIRC the Digitech Jamman.

But beware.... if you are talking about pre-recorded loops that are you going to use in your set, you will have to match the tempo exactly when you use those loops.

If you want to record something live and then use it later in the song but not immediately you will need one of the two pedal loopers - they offer greater control options.

What I want to do is record a rythm or a riff on part A for example and have it always play on Part A. So that I can jump from B to A and have the loop start.

Basically, I want to be able to record live a different number of loops to be then able to throw them whenever I want at different times in the song. Is this possible???

Any preferences between the two?

Thats kinda what I wanted, but no it isn't possible unless you have two loopers, or the Boss RC-50. That thing is a beast.

As far as I understand, what you saying is you want to record something on part A, stop it play record part B, and swap between the two. You can do it, but it will require you to bend down to the peddle and save the preset, you can't do that on the fly. Or am I going on a tangent here?

A few months ago there was an interview with the guitarist of Russian Circles (3 piece) who does it looks like exactly what you want to do. He swears by Akai Headrush.
