Watch the crowds flock to the stadium if Bob comes to town just as they would for Neil Diamond or the Beach Boys (no I did notgo ?)
Bring John Mayal & Eric Clapton to town and I'll be there... 8)
Despite having started this thread, there a multitude of acts I have no interest in seeing just because they're old and still on the road and somehow survived the 60s (which, actually, most of them did). Clapton, for me, stopped being interesting a long time ago though he still has the chops. Dylan I just plain don't get these days, nor do I get the praise that has been heaped on his last few releases. But then who'd be brave enough to diss The Zim?
John Mayall? I'd be tempted and curious.
I certainly don't write people off because of age either. I've seen some people who qualify for bus passes and are still tremendous performers. I'd jump at a chance to see Bowie and I'd go a long way out of my way to catch Robert Plant (especially with his current band).
It's like Jack said.... if they're still vital and interesting I'd buy a ticket.
