Cool guitar, Is it the Ltd version of the Horizon?
Bane
Pretty much yes. I am actually really keen on getting the equivalent horizon, because i've never enjoyed a guitar as much as this one. But i'm looking at the floyd rose one this time though...R20000....yeah gna be a long time before that happens ?

Love the finish on that MH man....

You can blow out your windows with that mother of an amp! lol! is it a 15 wat?
AlanRatcliffe
IIRC, the Valbees are 5W, all valve. In other words, about half the volume of a 50W Marshall.
Bane
Yip, what he said ? well it seems everyone is curious so here are the specs:
5W@4Ω Tube Guitar Amp
6L6GC x 1 (Power)/ 12AX7 x 1 (Pre)
6.5” Speaker (Oh yeah ?)
Gain, Bass, Middle, Treble, Presence, Volume, Boost SW
Send, Return, Valve powered Phones/Rec Out jacks
Closed-Back Cabinet
300(W) x 280(H) x 240(D) (mm)
7.8 kg (Appearances thing is deceiving)
AlanRatcliffe
To be honest, they're not half the volume of a 50W Marshall, because of the speaker being relatively inefficient. Plug it into a 4 X 12" and it would be though. Still a surprisingly loud little mother though.
I tried one a couple of years back on my long quest for a smaller valve amp (which ended with the Vox Heritage). Not bad at all, but the small speaker and closed back construction made it a bit boxy sounding, but the dealbreaker for me was that it has much higher gain than I like - in short, it rocks when turned up a bit, without much clean headroom. Ibanez know their market, and it's aimed squarely at the guys that buy their guitars.
Overall, a decent little amp - especially for the money. Plus it's BLUE!
Bane
The blue sold it for me haha!!! And the clean sound. I love it. The overdrive is ok, don't like it too much but i got the gt8 to help me out there. Also can't really use the overdrive switch anyway because i need to be able to switch from clean to OD and bendin over to press the button while playing doesnt work so well. Yeah i hear what you're saying about the speaker, but volume wasn't really an issue as i needed an amp i could play at night wif (i tend to only go to bed at 12/1 am ?). All i need now is a decent set of earphones (~R1400 ouch)
Wessel
There is a ESP Horizon for R11 000 at Musicmate Brackenfell (could be cheaper) . At least R9 000 cheaper but thats still allot of money.
Bane
Thanks for the heads-up man. Stone-broke right now so will have to wait anyway ? Do you know if it has the floyd rose or solid bridge?
SimoneMeyer
ooohhh!! I loooovvve your pedal!!!
Bane
haha so do i. i may prefer stompboxes but the versatility of these pedals are amazing!!! ?
