Awesome picks. I use the orange, jazz one. A friend brought some back for me from the states.
Nice variety in the range
+1 M&D.
I got my sets of Jazz Grip Combos yesterday from StephenG. Many thanks to him for making this possible.
This isn't a proper review, but just a few interesting points i wanted to raise:
1. The flourescent tipped jazz grip is tonally quite dark, the translucent orange tip being quite bright and the red tip being right in between. I'm really impressed by the orange tipped ones.
2. I have only now realised how much difference a pick can make to your sound.
3. The jazz grips are exactly the same size as the JD Jazz IIIs, however, the tip looks/feels thinner than the Jazz IIIs.
4. They do not slip. Period. This is great for guys who like to keep their pick in one spot. It's bad for guys who shuffle their pick around to get different degrees of attack. Used it at practise last night (for 3 hours nogal) and not once did it slip.
5. The attack itself is very clear and it does not produce a heavy clicking sound.
6. Thanks to the grip on the pick, i was able to relax the pressure i apply to a certian degree. Which translated to a relaxed hand and arm. Which finally led to an increase in speed. Yay! ?
7. Some may find this an issue ( I don't because i haven't lost a pick in a long time) but they are not the easiest to find on a dimly lit stage (unless you're using the flourescent ones)
Anyways, that's my 5c.
Once again,many thanks to Stephen.
