I once phoned a girl to ask her out.
It was one of those "cold calls" where you'd said hello once ... and you're not even sure if she'll really remember who you are.
She didn't really remember - but I managed to secure the date anyway.

Anyway ... we'll be married for 23 years this month.

Fortune favors the bold, and well done on taking a chance. Next time to spare yourself the confusion, just get to know her a little first and find out if she has a boyfriend.

A word of advice from the female perspective. Unfortunately the laws of nature ruled that guys have two kinds of nice, "real" nice and "horny" nice. Although both are fine, a girl tends to want to see the "real" nice side first. The "horny" nice is a little unreliable, and quite frankly, volatile. Let's just say from reading your posts I don't think it was your height she was intimidated by. I'm sure you'll have better luck with the next girl, just remember, "real" nice first. Also perhaps "melting her face" isn't the most endearing gesture, try...... da da dish......."melting her heart".

Ah yes, finally some good advice. ? I started a post last night but paused on posting........ LOL..... so to take Hammeron's advice to a different level, more of a dude-man level, and....... at the risk of ostracizing myself from all the fairer sex here, here goes. Humor BTW.

Next time she sees you out on the town, make sure you have a super hot babe hanging off you......a girl-friend from the gym or someone's sister, any super fine girl who just wants to go out for dinner or a movie with you...a knowing or unknowing accomplice ?.... make sure the object of your affection spots you with her but do not go up to her, just ignore the crap out of her. Then, the next time you see her and it's just the two of you, be nice but kinda blow her off.....like you are just not interested in her anymore. Make her want to chase you....LOL!!!

Then.......LOL....... when it gets to where you have to make the move, take her out a few times, nice dates..dinner, movie, dance club, go for a hike..some outdoors thing......and then, when it starts getting a bit serious...... start blowing her off again. ? :roflmao: Do a gig and don't invite her or even tell her about it. I actually know a guy who was in his 30's and failing miserably at getting ...er finding a girlfriend. And not a bad looking guy, blonde dude...slightly heavy but not fat at all, kinda like it is just his build.....great sense of humor and works in the film biz with lots of celebs etc.........likes dirt bikes and crotch rockets, speed boats yada yada but the guy just cannot score..... and when he does it's like whoa, what is he thinking...... like some much older woman than himself, a mom with kids and a lot of baggage.......like he needs that....he gets so desperate he makes bad dating moves.

Well, it is from him that I learned about that book. He actually bought it to try figure out what he was doing wrong. :roflmao:
