Seve Ballesteros died at the age 54 today after losing his fight against cancer.
The golfer's official website said: "Today, at 2.10am Spanish time, Seve Ballesteros passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at his home in Pedreña.
Sad sad news indeed.
Thanks for the thousands of hours of entertainment you gave us, Seve, we will miss you.

shame man. will miss him..
one thing i always felt about him was that all his victories seemed so personal to him. when he celebrated, it was like he was celebrating for a very personal reason, only he knew about.

Sad day. One of my favoritate golfers. Not that I'm big on following it. Excellent player and character.

To give an idea of the impression he made, a young guy in my office is named after him ? Huge golf fan, our boy. Spent time working at clubs in Florida. Partially for the money. Partially for the experience of being in another country, but a big part of it was all the free time on the fancy courses.
