hi guys,
this is not a punt or anything, as this band has a lot of support already, just thought i'd give the guys in ct a heads up if you want to catch a good gig.
a couple of friends formed a band called holiday murray in late 2009. they've been working on their debut album for just over a year and a half and its being released to the public at assembly, harrington street on saturday night. its been really well produced (by teejay terblanche at coffee stained vinyl studios and mastered by ed brooks at RFI studios in Seattle). don't be fooled by the connotations attached, and maybe i'm a little biased - but i think that they have a lot more on offer than sa's current crop of pop rock. their show is really tight and i sincerely think that you deserve a watch. genre is folky-poppy-rocky kind of stuff with charming harmonies, generally uplifting melodies and an occasional dark undertone. they've recently concluded an in-land tour playing gigs like Splashy Fen, Tanz Cafe, Tings and Town Hall (with aKing).
hope to see you

I'm definately going to be there. Even missing Stellenbosch's Big Band for it!
On a side note, Bateleur, one of the other acts that evening is seriously one of the most phenomenal bands this year. This event on saturday is going to be EPIC
