Where would you get tusk sheets for inlays?
I think you'd have to slice it yourself. Or create a dowel, shape that into stars or crosses or X-rated bob cameos or whatever and then slice them off one by one.
Apparently if you know where the knife makers hang out or buy supplies then you can get all sorts of tusks.
Ray gifted me some warthog tusk a while back. The biggest one was used to make nuts and saddles for two guitars. I mention this partly to make Ray blush but also because Mark at MacGibbon's (who did the work and very nicely too so now there's two okes out there all red in the face) told me it stinks fairly majorly when you saw it.
