Jazz request

Looking for some input on good jazz trumpet albums... got seriously into Chet Baker of late and would like more trumpet-centric jazz suggestions. I have all the major sax greats LPs so good to go on that side (I prefer my sax in service of rock 'n roll to be honest!)...

Nice recomms guys... happy listening for meeee! ?

MoreCowBell wrote +1 to all the suggestions so far! You need to listen to (read: own!) ever recorded by Miles, Chet, Dizzy, Louis, Art Blakely and friends. For some contemporary stuff, Wynton Marsalis is great, and for some 'local is lekker' check out anything with Marcus Wyatt - he's up there with the best of them IMO & plays a mean flugal horn too!
+1 My fine cello playing friend ?
Black codes from the underground is brilliant.

Also surprisingly, here's a Miles Davis quote on W.Marsalis
"I've met Wynton and he's a great guy, maybe a little confused". ?

lol! The entire Marsalis family are demon musicians. My fave is actually Wynton's dad, Ellis who plays a mean jazz piano!

+1 - There's Ellis, Wynton, Branford, Delfeayo & Jason . I've been trying to get my hands on a CD that features Ellis, Wynton & Branford (my fave - Check out Scenes in the city & Buckshot LeFonque). Don't know what the album is called though.
If anybody knows the album i'm talking about, please drop me a line.

The Marsalis Family?

Aye - Wynton (Marsalis) the trumpeter is the most famous, probably, but he's got a father and a pack of brothers who're all bloody fabulous muso's too!
