So... it's been a few weeks now since I started sending the newsletter in the current format. What do you guys think? Specifically...

What are your favourite parts of the newsletter? What are your least favourite bits? What would you like to see added that isn't already there?

Is it too long? Too short? Are the excerpts okay?

I want this to be a super-useful thing for you guys, so let me know ?

Well, I like to see the list of latest blogs and articles becasue I dont go in there auto every time I take a look. The list of latest hot topics should maybe be edited becasue I dont know if you want the bin Laden thing up and advertised as what we do here. But I actually like to get this. Quite honestly I think it is value added and to refer to a topic opened by OP here couple of months ago, could be a feature that could attract a charge. You know, I subscribe to a few luth forums and on a couple of them you click on classifieds or other juicy categories and you get told that you dont have sufficient access rights so run along and sort yourself a paypal account. And on some of them I do. I think that this is a place where I would. But that is a helluva digress hey. Sorry.

It's getting there. ? I like it but, in a nutshell, would like to see more of it. A few things I would like:

- Filter out posts from the "off-topic" board. I'd rather not have the sometimes arb stuff from there representing the forum and bumping out on-topic threads.

- Increase the excerpt length to 150 characters or more, so they give a better idea of content.

- Increase number of classified topics showing (I like the way only headers show, btw) to 20 or 25.

- Increase both "Hot" and "Recent" topic count to 10.

+1 - Pretty much yeah!

Though, i would move the blog posts to the bottom, as there arent THAT many blogs, and they arent added and updated THAT regularly!

So:
Latest Topics
Hot Topics
Classifieds
then only Blogs

and the unsubscribe can be smaller!
Who wants to unsubscribe from such an awesome little thing ? ?
