Sound Select The Shop - Stoneridge Shopping Centre

Does anyone have more info on this store?
The first i have heard of this store is the advert i have seen in the Muse magazine!

And having been in the Stoneridge shopping centre a few times in April, i cant ever recall seeing the shop either!!!

Opening specials are till 30 April only! Though i cant say on what!!!

So, a heads up, and request for info on here!!

Hahaha... Stoneridge is opposite Greenstone shopping centre!

I just got back from there...
Not the greatest selection of things, mostly entry level guitars!
They did have some mid high keyoards and studio monitors though!
Its a small shop, but, they did have one cable i was looking for, that i couldnt find anywhere else!
They are the official retail outlet of www.soundselect.co.za

But, still maybe worth it to go see what they have?!

While in the area...
Mercury music is in the other shopping centre opposite Greenstone, by the dros! they also have some things there that might be of interest to you!

I was there the other day. Took my kids to Jimmy Jungles, and the store is right outside.

First off: they seem to have this DJ box they set up outside the store on the weekend, and then pump massive techno beats out all day. Not cool. If I was a store owner in that center I'd have fired an RPG at them by now.

As for the store itself: nothing massively exciting, guitar-wise. They stock lots of entry-level stuff, the most expensive guitar I saw was a mid-range Ibby for about R12k.

They do stock strings and other music / DJ related stuff, including some Shure mics and a wireless system of some sort (can't remember which one).

Worth a look but not along the same lines as Marshall or Music Connection.

One thing i can say is that the guys there were friendly!

I have bought from soundselect website before, before the shop... so maybe they'll also use the store front for people to pick up their orders from now on?!
The thought of asking only occurred to me after i got back to work! :?

Send Jack Flash a PM. He lived in Afghanistan for a time where they sell them at flea markets. He may either have one or know someone back there who can post you one.

Ditto. Was there on Tuesday. Bought some strings which were pretty reasonable and noticed cabling prices were good too. Guitar and amp-wise nothing I would really buy at the moment but great to have another music store in the area. Must agree that they are a friendly bunch - one of the guys, a pro drummer, I actually knew from a couple years back so was good to catch up.
