I have noticed I do not see any obvious threads or mentions here, about the Avid 11R.
Are they just not popular in South Africa..... are they hard to come by..... too expensive...are they a turn off to non-Pro Tools users........yada yada?
Dude, this is South Africa, we're all rich, we only use the Axe-FX, the 11R and Pod HD500 are for poor people. ?
Just kidding.
I brought in a few HD500s, bought them on TGP, sold them and kept one for myself...it's a really cool unit for messing around at home, and it sounds pretty good live as well using a QSC K12 as a monitor.
Lot's of talk at TGP about the Axe VS the 11R VS the HD500..
.IMO, right now, the Tyler Variax into the HD500 into the DT50 leads the way in the 'modelling' world.
11R and Axe-FX owners will disagree, both believe their units are the best, and Axe-FX owners think the Axe-FX was created by G-d on the 8th day.
I'm more than happy with the HD500 because it's an all in one unit with some great sounding amp sims.
