Was this a wasted weekend guitar-wise???

So last week I had very high hopes in putting in some good playing time etc this easter weekend. And guess what? it is Monday afternoon and I have not even picked up my guitar. Seems the moment I want to play something comes up, have to drive there, mow the lawn and after all that I am not in the mood now...guess its what is called life.
Anyone else had the same expectations/experience ?

My life seems to be a continual tug of war between time spent on things that bring in the dough and spending time on the things I'd prefer.

You have to tell yourself that sometimes playing the guitar is more important than life..
Will you feel better after the lawn is mowed or after a good guitar jam?

This happens a lot. But this particular weekend was a decent one for me.

One of my Profs had this to say when tasked to do the budget for the Department..."Why can't they leave me alone to do the things that I'm good at and really enjoy..." ?

Fortunately we had rain yesterday so I could stay indoors to spend some time with the stringed machines :?

i have had a good weekend, nay a great weekend in that regard...

i take time out to practice...mowing hte lawn can happen tomorrow,,,shopping will wait ....

Good weekend for me... spent a lot of time creating and improving patches and just generally playing.

My weekend was pretty good. Played twice at church (Friday morning and Sunday morning) and spent 5 hours on Saturday just working on my patches & doing a bit of music reading. Monday spent 2 hours on working out some lydian & mixolydian arpeggios + tapping.

scary stuff Arjun ?, just when I though I had a great weekend Camping, playing about a couple of hours a day under the stars, but with reckless abandon, no real direction, but it was good stuff. Just picked up the guitar and let inspiration run wild, came up with some great song ideas. But I still had to make the braai, wash up, take kids for a walk/swim/and whatever else to get them out their mothers hair!

Must do some more Theory ☹

Cleaned an re-strung some of my ladies, so a good weekend for them and a very relaxing one for me.....except ofcourse when re stringing came to the 7 string with the floating bridge...but hey, I now have a fixed bridge string thanks to a block of american walnut... ?

Ha ha. From the pics you posted, i reckon you had a great weekend.
I can't think how pressed for time i'd be once kids arrive on the scene.
So i'm trying to make the most of it and the missus is very understanding.

Well I had a strange 02:00 in the morning guitar session.
Got back from hospital after the birth of my daughter.

I was in such a good mood I picked up the acoustic and played till the sun came up!
