We always talk about their LPs on the forum, but Tokai have been making better Strats than Fender since at least the mid '80s.
I'm sure it's a two piece unless this is a real special issue. I think the join is just above the bridge? Where you see that blade shape in the grain facing away from the neck (or just below the trem cover on the shot of the back). But Tokai seems to have a thing for matching really well. A lot of people think their LPs have one piece backs, then upon close, close examination, spot the join.
@Alan: Did '50s strats have flatter fretboards?
@Norman86: '50s Strats had that two-tone sunburst. In the '60s they added an intermediate shade, but I think the original sunburst looks way better.
