Ive googled around but I can't seem to find much info about the Yamaha 421DM. Its a fairly old model, so I guess it makes sense.
This particular model I have with me belonged to Andries Botha while he was in the band Georgia. (If anyone is clued up with local players you'll know who he is, and that he's one of the best players in SA.), and I am in a position to acquire this quitar cheaply. I just need some info about what it might be worth. I don't want to spend more than its worth. Its got a fair amount of scratched, chips, and chunks of wood missing. It shows its been on the road for many years and played hundreds of gigs. I guess that could maybe add to the value. Its been customized quite a bit, apparently new pickups where installed, and its got a strange pickup select system with added switches. The center pickup is gone completely. Even so I played it on my Rage 158 and its got a very nice tone and clean, fat sound, no problems there.
Anyone out there that has/had one of these?
