So tell me... Am I the only one out there that looks at what a guitar looks like before I play it?
Yes, I know that many people shall "shun the non-believer," telling me that a guitar that feels right and is technically good is the main thing. However, I just feel like I want to be
different...
Some may remember that I was recently looking around at Strats, to find a guitar that would last me for my entire music career. However, some may agree that it isn't exactly... original. Yes, it's a great guitar, and I love it. Similarly with the the Gibson LP's, good guitars, but I'm not fond of the shape. But then I came across one or two guitars that I think look pretty sexy...
The Ibanez RGA32, in Mahogany Oil finish
The Schecter Omen 6, in Walnut finish
The Washburn RX 80, Rosewood finish
Now these look amazing, in my humble opinion. I'm a big fan of the dark woods. But the Ibanez fretboard and neck don't agree with me, I'm not a big fan of the Schecter's sound, and I can't find the Washburn to try out. So back to square one!
Am I being overly fussy? Anybody out there have any suggestions for a poor, struggling musician-wannabe? ?
