ratrap Can anyone tell me if this will "convert" my straight guitar lead into a 90 degree version? TIA http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/GPP151/
FenderBender Sounds pretty logical. Where did you see/hear about this? Any links? The other option is to remove one straight plug and fit a right angled plug. That way you will be able to use the lead either way and it will suit any guitar. The amp should be able to take a straight or right angled connector. There is another thread about this somewhere.
ratrap Sorry just added the link! The other thread was also mine. I dont want to cut a plug off a new lead if I can use an adaptor. Just not sure if this is the correct size!?
FenderBender ratrap wrote Just not sure if this is the correct size!? It is 1/4" which is correct for guitar instrument cables.
Bob-Dubery Yes it will. It will also introduce another point in the signal chain at which noise can be introduced or a failure occur. Rather buy some 90deg plugs to replace existing "straight" plugs.
slyd Check this thread. already . . http://www.guitarforum.co.za/setup-mods-and-repair/guitar-lead-problem/ A guitar lead with a 90 degree angle-jack on one end, and a Straight-jack on the other, (all 1/4 inch, standard Jack-size), will solve all your problems.
StephenG get a SnapJack cable with interchangeble jack ends.. you get straight or right angle jacks and you just swap between them, no problems.
