Any of you peeps receiving the 'MUNNIK BASSON DAGAMA' special treatment?

So I cancelled my dstv at the start of feb this year. The cancellation of the debit order was effective immediately, and it didnt go thru on the 1st of March. Alles bakgat. Except the Multichoice wankers didnt cancel the dstv signal at the end of feb, and let it continue for about 2 weeks before finally catching a wakeup.

So yesterday I get a letter in the mail from MBD Attorneys, threatening to get a default judgement and blacklist and whatnot if I dont pay up R218.70 before end april. The normal dstv cost was 546 ront, so this is obviously an attempt to make me koff up for their mistake.

Ive sent MBD a 1st-class FUCK YOU letter, and Ive been googling a bit. Its a nasty outfit with a habit of harrassment and an industry-wide reputation for shocking tactics and service.

Ive been advised to wipe my arse on the inevitable monthly letters, which I plan to do. Hopefully no paper cuts!

I've been wiping my ass with their letters for about 2 years now. They are keen on dishing out threats, so I finally said: Go ahead, take me to court. Now they've been quiet for about 6 months.

I also cancelled my DSTV account and also got a letter from MBD. It seems that when I cancelled, I didn't include the cancellation of the insurance cover for the decoder. The amount MBD was asking for was almsot double the amount for the insurance. I just paid Multichoice the actual outstanding amount and haven't heard form anyone since. I think they were trying to include lawyers fees as well.

Apparently MBD's primary business model is to 'buy' other companies' black books, and then try and recover the debt at an overall profit, even years down the line, which is why they dont give a shyte about whethe you actually owe anything or not, and dont bother with correspondence. Not even sure its still legal what with the CPA and the Telecoms 2002 act.

I first got a phone call from them asking me for my ID number. I asked the guy what it was about and he refused to answer me until I gave hime ID number. I refused and put the phone down.
