Well, make of this what you will...
My sister has some BB curve model, her Boyfriend an apple 3GS.
They stay in boskruin but the reception there SUCKS!
When she still used her nokia, no reception problems, her phone would still ring and we could get through to her!
now, even with the 2 phones, the apple and the bb next to each other, the bb wont have reception, where even the apple will!
same network, phones will be in the same place, but her phone will go straight to voicemail everytime!
Funny enough, i rock up there with both my nokia's, and no reception problems!
this is like comparing apples and oranges, The Curve is just basic entry device, no 3G, basically just there to make calls, sms etc , The Apple 3 is obviously a more upmarket expensive phone, and not too sure of what Nokia's you have. Also you didn't mention the carriers (MTN, Vodacom etc) and also the type of Package that all these phones are running. Off Peak 120 will have different priority to anytime 500 package.
You are basing your judgement of BB on the Curve which is also unfair, If I had to base the Nokia on the shocking N range(N95,N80 etc) I would be slating Nokia till the cows come home.
Operating Systems are another story, I dont have a problem with the BB OS 6, I find it extremely user friendly and pretty integrated which makes it perfect for the average person on the street.
Android - I am still coming to grips with it (but I like it!!)
iOS - also quite friendly but not as all powerful as some declare
Symbian - a bit sluggish with mutlimedia, but with the new Nokia/Microsoft allaince, I expect there will be Windows Mobile Nokia out soon that will most probably rule over all. Maybe a Nokia Windows Pad???
