These are me babies. From Left: Cort Evl Z4, Roland cube 30watt, Boss dual foot switch, Digitech RP 200, Digitech hotrod distortion pedal and Mexican Fender Strat (lil 59 on the bridge, Dimarzio HS1 in the middle). My future plans are to get a bigger amp and im currently looking at getting the Seymour Duncan Twin Tube Mayhem preamp. Problem is, im very poor at the moment so like a little boy waiting for Christmas I too must wait :(

No clapton influence with the strat. only actually found out the other day it was a clapton replica. I got it off a mate who was moving to the uk. He gave it to me with new machine heads and a case for only 3k. Quite a steel i think. I put the new pickups in myself

nice MiM strat, how old is it? and would you say the pickup upgades made a substantial difference? thinking of doing something similair soonish.

Shot man. I have no idea how old it is. Its been a hand down for a while now. It was in bad nick (excuse the pun) when i bought it about a year ago. Ive done quite a bit fixing it; new machine heads, new pots, new 5 way selector and obviously the new pickups. I still want to replace the scratch plate (black pearl) and overhaul the bridge.

The pickups made a huge difference (especially for recording purposes). I would definitely consider doing it. Do some research on what pickup will suit your playing style the most and go for it, you wont regret it. Sometimes you are lucky with the standard pickups in these mexicans. The standard neck pickup sounds so good on my one that i dont see a need to change it. Customizing pickups can become an addiction, dont be surprised to see yourself running back a week after buying a new pickup to get another, then another and then another. I have three spare pickups just lying around, thats how big the addiction hit me.
