If you could only have ONE pedal....

4 pedals is easy. Most will choose tuner, wah, OD and delay (or something similar). What if you could only have one pedal? Which one. Lets assume you can tune by ear or use your bassist's tuner all the time (or you play punk) Mine would be a delay and I'd use the amp's overdrive and clean it up using my guitar's volume knob. (This is in fact how I do it). So what's yours?

Right now from my collection I would choose the Danelectro Transparent Overdrive. It is keeping an Original TS9 and a Keeley modded TS9 off my pedalboard! At around £30 I would say a very worthwhile investment!

Absolutely love my CTO-1, they're very hard to find now so hang on to that one.

And I think I would stick to my DD20... I recently discovered the beauty of the Modulation delay on it... It adds some subtle Chorus... Used that in my EMO composition for the competition so look out for it at the end of the month!!

only pedal I use is to switch channels..

I do enjoy a nice chorus but never use them in a "live" situation

Delay for me. Its got a 'talent booster' built in! ?

You can also use it to simulate reverb (of sorts) and compression/sustain.

Number one would be a tube flavoured OD/distortion. If I had that available via a amp, then I'd use my hardwire delay/looper pedal.

I'd go for the mxr doubleshot or Blackstar Ht-Dual, any proper distortion with two channels or a booster of some sort built in (hopefully the amp will have reverb) ?
