That's good news. So the Zoom is powerable by an ordinary boss power supply.
I suggest we use the mantech supply for the Zoom. But!!! The polarity of the plug must be changed or you'll be crying!

There are several ways to reverse the polarity:
1. For a neat job, you could (as I do) open the mantech supply, desolder the leads from the board and resolder the other way around.
2. Or just cut the mantech plug off and reverse the leads, making sure that there are no shorts on the connection you make.
3. Or get another 2.1mm DC plug and stick that on.

Ok this one is rather pricy for what it is, but then it is from RS:

It puts out 1A continuous and up to 2.6A peak, which should be sufficient for the RP350, as the much larger RP1000 uses the same 1.3A digitech power supply. You won't need to cut the small plug off as it comes with different sized plugs that can be attached. There is no polarity to worry about.

1 Catch: This one is listed as having a UK mains plug on a 2m lead. Verify with RS that this is true if you're going to buy it. You can always change the plug to a 3 prong SA type, BUT if it's molded into the case, you'll need a UK/SA adaptor!

I'll look around for other options in the meantime.

Got the Zoom powered up through that other digitech power supply, so didnt want to go messing about with the Mantech plug... so if anyone needs that plug, give me a shout!

That will do the trick. Just cut the horrible 2 pin mains plug off and fit a 3 pin SA plug once you are happy that everything is working as it should.

Thanks Graeme (...once again...) got the new power supply and all works perfectly - ace!

Typical though, I got it yesterday morning just before we took my daughter to the Rand Easter Show. We got back late afternoon and got ready to go out for supper (so sneaked in 20 mins of playing time!) and today off to Eastgate for the Winnie the Pooh show (there's a whole world of these events going on that you only find out about when you have a toddler) but no plans for tonight, so hopefully get some time to road test the Digitech and ultimately decide which one of teh Digitech or the Zoom to keep/sell.
