I've had this pedal for a while and loved it but now that I put it through another amp (Usually use a Marshall MG30DFX, now running through a Carlsbro Cobra 1100) it sounds more like it should be an annoying buzz pedal than a distortion pedal. Now, on clean everything sounds beautiful so I know there's nothing wrong with my guitar or the amp. Is there any sort of modification I can make to this pedal so my guitar sounds like something more than just different frequencies of white noise? This pedal is disgracing my Seymours!! >☹
That seems rather normal for a metalzone in my experience.
Any pedals you would suggest? Influences are Arch Enemy, Children of Bodom and Opeth...I like those kind of sounds.
Yeah, they are best described as "fizz pedals" AFAIC. I know Humphrey Audio in the US does the best/most popular mods for them, but that would mean shipping the pedal back and forth to the US.

Monte Allums does a few different mod kit for them. I don't know his versions, but his mods are usually very good to excellent.
Also check the boss metalcore pedal if you want that high gain sound on a budget....it gets rid of the fizz really well, I personally find its tone pretty darn good if I was not using a high gain valve amp.
