Firstly...........I'm 38 and I skateboard...............lol.
Well seeing that work on my jam room will start soon. I've had my skateboard ramp on the market for a good 4 months with some bites, two botched sales and now no interest whatsoever. I was looking at R5000 for it, but I've started doing sums and things don't add up. Before anyone asks it cost me about R28 000 to build this over a period of about a year and you can ask mundane, flyman and guido........it's big. 10.5m x 5m, basically the size of what the jam room is going to be.
I've worked things out and I need some shelving for the garage, in fact I want shelving for 1 whole wall and I've been quoted R5000 to do it. I need sound boxes for the jam room as well as birch ply for my guitar boxes as well as 3 speaker cabinets that I'm building. To top that off I also need beams to attach to the walls and ceiling to which I can attach drywall panels. All in all I need about R10 000, I can get this all from my ramp, so why sell it for R5000 and then still have to raise another R5000 to buy the stuff.
stage 1, 4ft high, 3m wide..........I wanted it bigger though.
Stage II addition of a 3ft lower section another 1.5m wide.
So yes, there is a LOT and I mean a LOT of wood in this thing. So begining of next month...........she's all coming down. Should be all down in a saterday.
