What genre is this?

Roy Brown was Rhythm and Blues, while Holiday was jazz. Brown was influential on early Rock and Roll, being the first RnB artist to include gospel influences in his music.

I really LOVED the fallout soundtracks. Apparently the New Vegas soundtrack is just as good, but the game bugged out for me and I got over it and didnt play much...

Wouldn't that first one be a good example of "Jump Blues"? I don't know I'm asking, but that's more or less what I've always understood "Jump Blues" to be, blues with a big band swing feel to it.

The second one, jazz. But I'd love to hear what more knowledgeable members have to say about it because the jazz genre is so big that I'm not sure what the specific name of this one would be. I mean, compare it to John Coltrane or John Zorn and you'd think that you're listening to three different genres - and you are, I'm just not sure what they're called (other than jazz). I absolutely love this Billie Holiday stuff though. Maybe this is what is referred to as "Cool Jazz", typical of the 50s?

+1. This is a jump tune. Pre rock 'n roll. Try listen to Big Joe Turner on Youtube to hear some more.

As for Billie Holliday, she is without equal. You won't find anything quite like that. But you can try listen to some Ella Fitzgerald.
