This is what I slapped together in 3 months after I bought my Stratacoustic in May and then decided to dig out all the "cupboard" stuff, get an effects processor and slap on a MIDI floor controller. I got rid of the Strat's pb strings, threw on some 11s and she is great to play either plugged or unplugged. [u]My signal path[/u]: Single bridge mounted piezo pup | Fishman 4 pre-amp | Behringer V-Amp Pro | Arcam Alpha 6+ amp (50Wrmsx2) | Arcam delta 2 speakers (70W, 89dB@1m) Unplugged (no spykey amp required) she's just loud enough to wake the neighbour if I wind the strings, but I am learning to play softer now that I am playing plugged in. Apart from the Strat, V-Amp and MIDI pedals, everything was in the spare-room cupboard. There are a few more old ghosts in those cupboards, but I'll get onto that next year :D

Seeing your Arcam speakers reminds me I've got some Boston HD8s I must have fixed (rubber roll surrounds). Not wonderful I know, but probably far better than the Philips speakers on my lounge AV system at the mo - fine for movies, but I can't bear to play CDs on it.

There was a guy I used to take my drivers to in Bellville and he would either recone, recoil or resuspend as required. Went by the name of "Resonant Frequency". Googled them, but no result. Will check tel directory and let you know if I can track them down.
