Well the place was packed to capacity, and all I can say is if I can still rock like that when I'm 70 I'll be very happy.
Very powerful, strong voice.
Interesting mix of young and old.
I'm not a huge fan of stadium shows, the acoustics are really k@k.
Neil didn't play as much guitar as I thought he would, but then again he's mostly an acoustic 'strummer' anyway.
But he had the crowd on their feet and I'm glad I went, once in a lifetime opportunity to see the 'ol geezer. ? ?

I booked my tickets in Oct for Tuesday night's performance in Durban. I will report back on Wednesday but like Costa said, a once in a lifetime chance to see him. He has been around since I was born and that is a long time ago.

Did he have his Usual Band supporting him? Hadley Hockensmith is usually his guitarist and he is a decent player, used to play for Koinonia.

My Dad was a huge fan and 2 of his albums left an impression on me all those years ago!

"Tap Root Manuscript" this had Soolaimon which was a huge favourite of mine, really enjoyed the drumming on the track.

"Hot August Night" - We played this Album to pieces, had to get another copy ?
