These seem almost impossible to find. Anyone know where I can get one?
I'm happy to go for a DD-3 or DD-6 instead but I'd like to try the DD-2 because everyone seems to rave about how much like analog it sounds!
They are almost impossible to find. When I started buying delays, in the mid '80s the DD-2 was still available, but the DD-3 was the new model, so I got one of those. They are both good sounding delays, just different - the DD-2 has a warm, analogue sound, while the DD-3 has a more pristine, digital tone. Given a choice between the two today, I'd probably go for the DD-3 as I prefer the more accurate sound of the digital delays.
I rather like getting a delay pedal that does an array of sounds rather than just digital delay. Thats why i bought my line6 pedal. Maby you can try some out the line6 tonecore delay also ? They have some of the best delay pedals out there. Just an idea. 🙂 And i dont think you would easily find a DD-2, their not made anymore and i dont think theres lots of them in SA ( for buying second hand )
I'll keep my eyes open for decent analog delay pedals at a price I can afford and, if I can't find any, I'll go for a DD-3 or something and then later try Satch's "trick" using a DD-3 and a DD-6.
Heck, it can only be fun.
Will still keep my eyes out for a DD-2, just in case. I seem to have a knack for finding the best equipment for absolute bargains.
