@ nicovlogg - thanks!
1) The buffed wax is much slicker than just the oil, but I didn't buff the oil finish, so I can't say what that would feel like. It is much shinier, the oil alone looked nice, but the wax, when buffed, just made it "pop". It stays shiny very well; after extensive handling you can catch a few fingerprints in the light, but a quick rub with a cloth does the trick. For general maintenance, about once a week, you use some Cobra-white gently rubbed on, and hand-buffed off, and it's back to new!
2) The tape IS conductive on both sides ! You just create an overlap from one piece to the next. I checked continuity (over and over) with my multimeter across all sections, and they were all closed-circuit.
The stuff is great!
1) Think I'm going to try that. Why did you decide on the woodoc stuff? Does it have any kind of scent?
2) Is that 3M tape? I heard that aluminium is much better than copper for shielding against EMF.
