@dee: It's a bit dark and jaundiced at times, but still a masterpiece from the 70s!

I can't really decide which album I like most. It varies according to mood and over time. IMO they're all masterpieces in their own way, including the post-Waters albums. They're different, but as good.

"Dogs" would be my favourite Floyd song...the guitar solos on Dogs are just insane...a 17 minute masterpiece that took them 9 months to finally complete. ?

It takes some watching. I have listened to the whole album seen the movie plenty times but I still cant tell you what it's completely about ?

I had a friend way back who said he had a "revelation" on "The Wall" but it could have been the assortment of uppers and downers that he consumed at the same time.

Well worth a watch, Bob Geldof does well and he pulls off some great vocals as well.

It's compulsory viewing, just like Spinal Tap, Crossroads (the Raplh Machio - Robert Johnson one), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang etc

Saw it was scheduled last night so when I got home I made sure there was a blank DVD in the recorder.. so now I have it to watch later ?

Did you ever go to the Picadilly in Yeoville, used to have late night Friday Music Films. Saw Pink Floyd in Pompei there amongst many others.

Sadly not ..... used to go to mini cine hillbrow to watch woodstock amongst others .... create a hotbox ..... good times.

i was fortunate to live in hillbrow as a student , i say fortunate cos hillborow was a true metropolitan area ....vibey ..full of life ....
