Is the wood still ok???

Hi Guys,

I am going to be getting an unfinished body on Saturday. Problem being that the unfinished body is about 10 years old. It was never treated. I'm told it looks like new but would the wood still be ok for use in a guitar after such a long time?

How would it be affected?
Can I salvage it?

where has it been kept?

Just do the checks but i reckon 10 years should probably be ok depending how its been stored.

if there's no obvious signs of damage from damp, or insects, or cracks, then I dont see why not?
